Purpose of Role:

To be a member of the Installation Team who are responsible for indiviual and project based customer orders, pre-sales consultancy and design, quotations, installations and commisioning of client-server based networks.

This is a field based role, with UK wide travel a requirement as dictated by the needs of individual projects. As the role will require significant travel, the flexibility to stay away from home as necessary, is an essential requirement

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Individual and project based customer orders
  • Pre-sales consultancy and design
  • Quotations
  • Installation and commissioning of client-server based networks

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of commissioning client-server networks at an advanced level including Microsoft 2012 - 2003 networks in Virtual (VMware & Hyper-V) and physical environments
  • Highly developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Current Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or equivalent industry standard accreditation
  • Significant technical experience of successfully delivering complex installations (multi domain, multi site models)
  • Delivered project integration work with industry standard wireless and switched networking technologies
  • Is recognised as a product specialist possessing in-depth knowledge within a Field-based environment E.g. MS Exchange, Apple Mac, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop etc.
  • Ability to act as an onsite technical lead consultant
  • Demonstrate planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Lead Consultant for the delivery of both New Build Academy and Free School projects.  Responsible for the technical implementation of a predefined solution into a new build or school refresh
  • Delivery of both a standard (to Advanced level) and custom range of network commissioning
  • Implementation of complex technical solutions for customers, including custom software installation and end-user application repackaging
  • Resolution of customer network issues and company complaints
  • Delivery of customer consultancy and on-site support days

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, to meet real deadlines and project completion dates
  • Ability to work on a New Build building site managing 3rd party integration and passive cabling contractor
  • Excellent customer facing, telephone and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to deliver presentations and address large groups of people
  • Demonstrate Initiative
  • Willing to travel and work away from home
  • Ability to multi task
